High School Marching Band allowed me to understand the fundamentals of the activity and apply different methods of working towards achieving goals to compete in OMEA. Throughout these four years, I spent two of the seasons being the mellophone section leader, two years as a music consultant, and one year as a marching consultant.

Rogues Hollow Regiment was my first approach to Drum Corps. This DCA (Drum Corps Associates) organization allowed me to get a first-hand professional approach to both the music and visual sections of a marching band, furthering my education in the marching arts. This organization taught me how to work to my best effort and achieve excellence through a mindset and discipline. This drove me to further my education in drum corps and join Music City Drum Corps.
Music City offered a 71-day experience performing in Drum Corps International World Class for the 2023 season. This organization is selected based on a rigorous audition process that tests both musical and physical abilities. Alongside the audition process, the Corps staff analyzes attitude and mental focus. This organization taught me how to achieve difficult goals through extreme discipline and work ethics. Music City has also given me an insight into specific brass methods, unlocking new perspectives in the direction of musical performance. The visual staff has also broken down the fundamentals to help each individual understand complex choreography and advanced techniques used in drum corps.
The Ohio University Marching 110 disciplines its members by a militaristic-style marching band. This band also loves to have fun with their performances by engaging with the audience through their choreography. This marching band marches both corps style and high-chair style. This band challenges each individual member by holding auditions for each game, letting the member become a pregame performer, a halftime performer, both a pregame and a halftime performer, and an alternate.
