• Managed annual impairment review.
• Work with SVP, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, and 10 external auditors assessing approximately 1,400 properties across the US, Canada, and the UK to determine if indicators of impairment are present. Analysis resulted in impairments exceeding $226M.
• Delivered critical data analysis and information to KPMG, as the Technical Accounting team lead, related to a Critical Audit Matter (CAM).
• Accounting for acquisitions and dispositions.
• Closing statement review on real estate disposition, identifying a risk of $7M to the company.
• Managed accounting for real estate dispositions totaling 28 assets for total consideration of $399.5M, resulting in an accounting gain of $62.1M.

• Provide Cash to GAAP walk analysis to Investments for purposes of determining accounting yield on acquisition targets.
• Collaborate with Financial Reporting in preparing and supporting SEC filings and ensuring 15 annual JV audits are completed in accordance with GAAP and respective JV agreements.
• Accounting management for construction projects in excess of $100M, determining the timing around revenue recognition and placing assets into service to begin depreciation.
• Lead audit team for a key KPMG client, plus participated in additional team audits during a four-year tenure.
• Performed process walkthroughs, control test work, and substantive test work over payroll, accounts receivable, fixed assets, debt, and equity of a publicly traded company operating in the restaurant industry.
