Lead Cerakote Technician
- Promoted during the 2023-2024 year from RMA to Lead Cerakote Technician. This position required being able to fulfill purchase orders to help meet company quarterly requirements. Ensuring each suppressor was properly prepped and sandblasted prior to being painted. Suppressors were checked for any issues or discrepancies that would cause the finish of the suppressor to fade or stick out.
Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) 2022-2023
- Recognized by management due to my ability to apply myself and work out any task that I was given with efficiency, to be in RMA. RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) was a position where I was tasked with receiving, testing and repairing suppressors, when applicable, from manufacturer companies. Received suppressors came with different issues that required great attention to detail to determine the correct repair and process needed. Fulfill up to 30-50 different suppressors within a day for customers and law enforcement purchase orders.
Wash and Stack, Welding, and Runout - 2021
- I started in wash and stack, where I was required to wash 350 units a day, which would be 1,750 a week. With each part I had to wash, I needed to make sure that each part met our QC standards. This means checking outside diameter, inside diameter, and fitment. My other duties that I was required to do were to ensure each suppressor was aligned as straight as possible and had no blemishes, scratches, or gnawing.
- Within 3 months of working at KGM, I was promoted to welding with an IPG Photonics laser, which revolves around a 3-4 axis. As a welder, I was tasked with ensuring that each suppressor was aligned, tightened, and the surfaces were acceptable within our QC tolerance. This was to ensure that when placed inside the welder, each part was perfectly aligned, preventing the laser from missing the correct welding line. Welding 350 units in an 8-10 hour day helped to meet purchase orders.
