
Legal: prepare legal documents and e-file as appropriate in federal and state courts; assist attorneys and paralegals in preparation for trial; prepare attorneys for depositions, court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations; draft pleadings, discovery, and motion shells; assist in document production (bates, production and privilege logs); summarize deposition transcripts; schedule hearings, depositions, and conference calls; pull patents; run redlines; proofread correspondence and all legal documents after final drafts prepared. Administrative: manage attorneys’ calendars, enter attorney time; open new client/matters; run conflict checks; prepare engagement letters; review and edit pre-bills working with firm’s Client Accounting Specialists; prepare expense reports; schedule conference rooms and arrange catering for meetings / depositions, make all domestic and international travel arrangements; organize and maintain case files using both physical and electronic files; process all mail; track and renew all bar and legal association dues; track attorney CLE requirements/compliance; answer and screen phone calls; register attorneys for CLE seminars and speaking engagements; process vendor invoices; process audit letter requests; assist attorneys in their marketing efforts to generate business leads; e.g., PowerPoint presentations and collateral materials.
