I own three horses now that mean the world to me but I will start with the one who has carried me the furthest..
“Yella” He’s a big yellow gelding. We bought him as a barrel horse back when I was in high school (I am 25 now) I decided to see if he liked a cow, and he did. So a few long days, late nights, sweat, shivers, tears and doubt later, I made him what he is today and I could not be prouder of what he is. I started pro rodeoing back in October of 2023 and battled to fill my permit the whole 2024 season and was successful. In October of 2024 I purchased my Rookie card for the 2025 season. My goal going into it was to win Rookie Of The Year.. and I did. I went into the circuit finals #10 this year and to me I didn’t care if I was in the last spot coming in or the 1st I just knew I wanted to be there and I exceeded expectation by doing so my Rookie year. To top it all off I went into the first round and won it, then went on to the second round to win second. I come back to the third round #1 in the average and had a chance to win the average and the circuit. I drew a bad calf and he took away the chance for me and I missed.. aside from the let down of that happening, I still left smiling ear to ear. It was the best experience and I can’t wait to be back for another chance at it.
I have my head horse. “LickedySplit”. We bought him and he was just a practice horse but over time, he learned to love his job and it soon become fun and easy for him so he started making it fun and easy for me too. Me and him both love the winners circle so that’s where we want to be as much as we possible.
I have a 4 year old “Waylon” who is coming along in the breakaway very nicely. I have high expectations for him and he is working hard to meet them. The future with him is very exciting.
I love to rope! Always have since I was big enough to swing one. My parents always kept me mounted and done everything in their power to make my dreams come true, and they did. Now here I am trying to make those big dreams come true for myself and for them. I serve a mighty God and with him in my heart anything is possible!
I am so excited for what’s ahead and there is nothing I would love more than to rep your brand along the way.
