• Develop and update policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with guidelines relating to HIPAA, benefits administration and general liability.
• Interview and train all therapy staff, providing direct supervision, ongoing staff development and continuing education to employees.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with staff, physicians and families to promote high quality patient care.
• Contribute to the success of multidisciplinary team meetings by facilitating open communication between all departments about patient progress and care plan adjustments.
• Foster a culture of professional development, supporting staff members in pursuing advanced certifications and continuing education opportunities.
• Conduct regular performance reviews of staff members, offering constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for ongoing improvement.
• Coordinate comprehensive discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from rehabilitation to home or other facilities.
• Establish interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care plans and maximize functional gains.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by maintaining accurate documentation and timely reporting.
• Optimize workflow efficiencies through strategic scheduling to achieve optimal staff productivity.
• Maintain appropriate and adequate staffing and scheduling of residents on caseloads.
• Increase staff retention through effective training, mentorship, and performance evaluation systems.
• Manage departmental budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum patient benefit.
• Perform quarterly screens
