Summary

Law Enforcement

Based on the training and experience outlined above, I believe I bring a broad and diverse background that would be greatly beneficial to this position. My current duties in the Licensing Investigations Unit are focused on the regulation and compliance of security guards and private investigators in Arizona. These duties include taking action against license and registration holders who have been arrested for disqualifying offenses and/or misconduct. Also fielding and investigating complaints of alleged violations of Title 32, Chapters 24, and 26, and the associated administrative rules. This also involves conducting site compliance checks either in response to complaints or on a self-initiated basis. After an investigation and misconduct or violations of law are sustained, a course of disciplinary action is determined. Disciplinary action could be a verbal warning, a Letter of Concern, criminal citation, or brought before the Hearing Board. If a case is brought before the Hearing Board, a recommendation to the director is made to place the license or registration on probation, or to suspend or revoke the license or registration. The director makes the final decision. Principled Detective with outstanding skills in interrogation, case research and evidence control and collection. Fit and healthy with excellent physical stamina to perform at optimal levels. Advanced firearms training and weapons maintenance. Applies knowledge of criminal law to practical cases. Seasoned Detective with a decorated career in law enforcement dedicated to solving criminal cases. Hardworking and conscientious with high integrity and good clear rates. Skillfully obtain evidence and statements with both modern and traditional policing techniques.
