A Registered Nurse that offers well-developed skills in Leadership and management of highly acute medical and psychiatric patients . My career began as an LVN with twelve years experience in a vast range of settings. Eleven years of that was spent in the inpatient psychiatric units in a correctional facility. This helped me acquire and refine my skills in acute care and become a part of a team that gave me opportunities for team leadership. During my time at California Medical Facility I was offered many opportunities for advancement. In 2021 I was provided with the opportunity to pursue my degree in Registered Nursing. With great success I was able to complete an accelerated program for Nursing. Following this Kentfield Hospital granted me the opportunity to work in the field of Critical Care. Here I participated in the management of Critical Care patients on ventilators, Cardiac monitoring, Telemetry, Critical IV infusions, as well as complex case patients with both medical and psychiatric issues. Within short period of time I was offered the opportunity for Charge Nurse and Preceptorship of new Employees/Students. Here I refined skills in team management, policy and procedure, skill development, and a wide variety of tasks that are asked of a Charge Nurse. I believe that one of my greatest attributes as a Nurse and Person is my willingness to learn and my hunger for growth. Both work hand and hand to help start and maintain the success I have achieved.
