Application Engineer

  • Serve as the on-site IT admin for servers, phones, M365 tenant, network devices, Windows PCs and business-related software.
  • Managed ERP and CRM software, and set up a business reporting site.
  • Created dozens of custom reports, learning SQL in the process.
  • Built complicated sales commissions logic into CRM and SQL DB by creating custom tables and reports.
  • Built out complex sales pricing and costing structure in ERP, and wrote guidelines for how to enter and maintain records, along with scheduled reports to help flag errors and issues.
  • Visited clients to discuss project requirements and provide solution suggestions.
  • Serve as the machine vision expert, with product knowledge covering barcode scanners, vision sensors, 2D vision systems, and 3D profilers and scanners.
  • Conducted in-person machine vision group trainings for customers both in house and on-site.
  • Conduct machine vision feasibility testing with demo equipment and customer supplied sample parts, providing feedback and often a written report outlining testing setup, results and recommended components.
  • Provided remote and on-site tech support and troubleshooting for customers.
  • Create new system programming for various projects including PLC, motion control, HMI, and machine vision using vendor specific software.
