Charge nurse in the ICU. I’m responsible for patient care and monitoring. I manage, assist, advise and direct my coworkers with their care. I facilitate the movement of patients in and out of the ICU. I’m proficient in all aspects of patient care and nursing skills. All units in the hospital call for my assistance with difficult iv sticks.
Charge nurse in the various ICUs. I worked in the MICU, CCU, SICU, Neuro ICU and Abdominal Transplant unit. I managed patients on CRRT, LVAD, IABP, Tandem Heart and Impella. I managed a wide variety of critical iv drips. This is where I really became a proficient critical care nurse.

Most patients were cardiac patients with many post cath lab patients where we were responsible for pulling femoral sheaths. After getting a years experience on scu I moved into the icu and learned to care a variety of patients including recovering post cardiac surgery patients.
My first job as a registered nurse! I worked on a med-surg unit specializing in orthopedics, male gu, Neuro, plastic surgery, and burns. I really learned time management on this busy unit and the care of these busy patients.
