  • My role as the City of Grapevine’s billing technician is to bill each of the 15,000 customers monthly on a set schedule. From building accounts in STW, to getting the reads from the meter readers, running weekly cycle reports, billing, invoicing, adjustments, penalties, setting meters, working with Laserfiche etc. Customer service is a huge part of this role, as we assist customer who come to the city, as well as over the phone/via email daily. Building my knowledge within the department has become my priority over the last 6 months, from assisting leadership with ACH, Lockbox, deposits, bank drafts, escalated calls to walking through new applications for customers and talking payments with the clerks at the Utility billing counter. Knowledge is key and building a solid foundation for our team is most important.
