
Working in the retail world for 5+ years, my goal has always been to grow to become the hardest-working, most dedicated, and most outgoing worker I can be, with a bigger goal of climbing higher into the ranks of management to take on bigger and better responsibilities as I stay and grow with the company.
- Greet the donors at the door, offering help to them if needed.
- Sort donations based on item category, making sure things get handled properly.
- Run clothing racks and wares carts whenever possible.
- Assisting customers with heavy furniture, usually out to their car or truck.
- Switching, stacking, and loading stacks of gaylords onto the truck, and unloading the truck.
- Working with and guiding the team through difficult days, and at the end of the night, ensuring that the store is cleaned up for the next day, performing nighttime duties as needed.
- Was primarily in the shoe department, often making sure the merchandise was organized and easy to find. Made sure that new merchandise was put out onto the floor.
- Assisted customers, answering questions and helping to find what they were looking for.
- Also served as a cashier, providing a genuine and quick checkout experience for customers.
- Was primarily in the back, hanging clothes, tagging clothes, and running the racks.
- Scanned books to determine if they were to be salvaged, sold in-store, or sold online.
- Matched and rubber banded pairs of shoes.
- Ran wares carts whenever possible.
- Occasionally went out to the floor and organizing the merchandise, assisting customers, and helping customers bring heavy items to their cars if needed.
- Shadowed/helped with the donor door for one day, and shadowed/helped with the registers for a day.
- Being the first ever retail job I've worked, I owe them a lot of thanks for getting started on my journey in the working world, teaching me all the basic skills to grow as a worker.

Goodwill Champion Award - Being awarded in 2022 as a Goodwill Champion, to me, is a symbol that I've proven to be a hard worker, and have been willing to take on anything. It applies to every job I've had, past and present, being a constant reminder that I can really tackle any and all tasks, projects, assignments, and so forth, to the best of my ability.
