Experienced in emergency management with a strong background in disaster and crisis response, strategic planning, fostering effective team collaboration, and consistently achieving goals in crisis resolution. Adaptable to evolving situations, bringing expertise in pre-planning, emergency protocols, resource management, and instructing to ensure an efficient and effective response.
I have earned the respect of my peers and received strong encouragement from my colleagues at BayCare Team, including Manager Mike Davis, Specialist Patricia Cravey, Specialist Tim Allen, and Specialist Ryan Becker-Sikes, to pursue the Emergency Manager position. After discussing my application with them, I am proud to say that all affirmed their unwavering support and endorsement of my candidacy.
With over thirty years of experience in emergency disaster preparation and response, my expertise is extensive. I have successfully engaged in EMS protocol consulting and refinement, provided strategic Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) planning and training, and led Incident Command training for organizations such as Florida Emergency Management, FEMA, and the Florida Department of Health. My history of holding various management roles highlights my talent for conflict resolution, ensuring that my team operates efficiently and excels in collaboration.
I have built a robust foundation for delivering quality patient care and advocacy, effectively integrating diverse disciplines to work in unison—especially during mass casualty care and response scenarios. Currently, I work PRN as an Emergency Room RN in a hospital ER, while also serving as an Intermittent Special Government Employee with the Federal National Disaster Medical Service (USDHHS/NDMS). This dual role keeps my clinical skills sharp and provides me with valuable firsthand experience regarding the achievements, complexities, and challenges that emergency management decisions can create, particularly in mass casualty situations.
I am excited about the opportunity to bring my wealth of experience and proactive mindset to the Emergency Manager position, confident that I can make a significant impact in enhancing emergency response and management strategies for BayCare.
