Currently hold a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
Perform liaison duties at National Capital Region Coordination Center (NCRCC) for the Air and Marine Operations Center (AMOC)/Capital Region Unit (CRU).
Monitor and provide airspace security for the Special Flight Rules Area (SFRA), Flight Restricted Zone (FRZ), and Camp David/P-40 Restricted area using the Air and Marine Operations Surveillance System (AMOSS).
Detect and report on small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS)/Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operating illegally inside the FRZ/SFRA.
Work hand in hand with representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Department of Defense (DOD), United States Secret Service, United States Capital Police, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), United States Coast Guard, and other government agencies in identifying suspicious aircraft within the National Capital Region (NCR).
Contact airports and/or local law enforcement to procure identification of suspect aircraft/pilot(s).
Utilize multiple databases for suspect aircraft identification, including flight plan, aircraft registration, and law enforcement databases.
Perform various law enforcement actions to assist inter-agency partners, if needed.
Experience monitoring and communicating over the Domestic Events Network (DEN) and the Red Switch.
Extensive knowledge of small Unmanned Aerial Systems (sUAS) operating rules and procedures.
Provide support to Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC) for various programs.
Issue advisory information to inbound and outbound Department of Defense and Law Enforcement aircraft operating at MWEOC.
Offer aviation information and expertise to various inter-agency partners for Continuity of Operations and National Special Security Events and exercises.
Provide flight information for aircraft participating in real world events and exercises to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) personnel at MWEOC.
Provide MWEOC with Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems support, detection, and possible mitigation.
Represent the AMOC/CRU during event/exercise planning meetings, and provides the capabilities of AMOC/CRU personnel to inter-agency partners.
Coordinate event/exercise responsibilities to AMOC/CRU personnel.
