- At Augusta University I oversee a multitude of different jobs. On top of doing my regular job, I am also on the CIO Advisory Council. My daily routine revolves around the management of a diverse array of tools that are essential to a fully functioning digital environment. I am responsible for managing Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCM), Microsoft SQL, Jamf Pro, and Apple School manager, to orchestrate the needs of both Windows and Apple devices. My responsibilities extend far beyond the oversight of 20,000 assets. I make sure every tool and asset is not only up to date, licensed, and fully functioning, but fortified against ever evolving cyber threats. Part of this system management involves constantly pursuing the best ways to write scripts, automate data, patch systems and software as well as evaluate new solutions to protect against vulnerabilities. Whether it is linking different API’s to different software or querying databases for reliable information, the goal is to streamline production and data management while being as innovative as possible.

- As a Construction Manger, I traveled to various locations to build a variety of structures including townhomes, apartments, beach houses, farmhouses, commercial properties, and residential homes. I was deeply involved in all phases of construction. Our main focus was neighborhood development, which included laying storm drains, water lines, sewer lines, and electrical lines. After completing the infrastructure for neighborhood developments, I transitioned to site preparation work necessary for building houses on the sectioned out properties. This involved managing the workload and material supply to ensure the successful development of each project whether it was commercial or residential. This was a very tedious process that required a lot of concentration and communication because in the construction business time is money.

- In this role, I helped manage the IT infrastructure across 3 district plants, overseeing processes such as radioactive waste incineration, cast welding for secure containment and fleet maintenance for semi trucks. My position included maintenance of a diverse range of software and tools to help manage assets and software applications for the various sites. The job required troubleshooting and identifying solutions for issues with hardware, software, networking and hosting to make sure production could continue across the various plants. As part of the job, I was required to maintain safety standards such as training and wearing radioactive monitoring devices and holding necessary clearances for specialized access. During my time at Energy Solutions, I had a pivotal role in restoring critical infrastructure during a massive cyber attack. I learned a lot about effective communication and collaboration with various agencies, staff and consultants to get our systems back in service. The analyst job required a security mindset as well as a level of technical expertise and communication soft skills to be able to achieve the goals of the company.
