BEA's economists produce some of the world's most closely watched statistics, including U.S. gross domestic product, better known as GDP.

Summary: Produced the Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE) - (Goods) section of the GDP release report for the Secretary of Commerce and ultimately the public. The PCE-Goods section of the report measures and/or forecasts both the prices of all goods and the sum-total purchased by individuals.

• Utilized effective public speaking skills to explain complex economic concepts to broad range of audiences.
• Operated under tight deadlines, both long and short.
• Used Stata, mathematical formulas, statistical models, analytical techniques, conducted research, and contacted data sources in order to assess information.
• Monitored economic trends for areas such as goods consumption and prices of goods in order to identify which industries, products, and/or prices had driven changes to the overall PCE estimate.
• Developed and refined forecasts for all personal consumption in the US.
• Generated, analyzed and reported data to forecast trends and explain economic phenomena, such as outliers in any series, and provided reasons for significant changes in a price or product series.
• Analyzed factors which affected economic growth and leveraged information to achieve accurate monthly and quarterly GDP estimates.
• Managed, updated, and improved pre-existing programs and models used to seasonally-adjust and measure or forecast estimates.

Our mission is to advance those policies and attitudes that best reduce the harms of both drug use and drug prohibition, and to promote the sovereignty of individuals over their minds and bodies.

• Implemented program designed to increase the number of legislative drug policy reforms in KY.
• Recruited and mobilized supportive legislators in KY.
• Reported on topical articles or coverage of KY drug policy in the newspaper, on television, and/or on the web.

• Developed regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis, including but not limited to voter registration trends,volunteer recruitment, voter contact results, predictive model validation, and developed targets.
• Provided timely and relevant analysis of data and fielded requests for specialized research projects, in many cases requiring rapid turnaround.
• Tracked and disseminated analysis of voter contact results, early vote and absentee turnout, voter registration, and other data relevant to campaigns.
• Collected raw political data and converted it to a usable form for analysis; scrubbed and matched acquired lists back to the voter file.
• Recruited, trained, and managed fellows and volunteers and grew the volunteer organization.
