During this period I managed all house functions such as employee hiring, training and scheduling, inventory control, special event planning, member relations, menu planning and pricing, handling of sales receipts, and implementing desires from the clubs board of directors.

Opened and grew a small candy shop to a 12,000 sq. ft. retail and dining tourist attraction. Building on a business concept  "Entertain the guest so that the act of buying becomes a consequence of the visit", Maple City Candy grew to a labyrinth of rooms that included not only the largest selection of candies and chocolates in the area but a unique inventory of gift merchandise and home decor. Maple City Candy also housed a coffee shop and a 100+ seat fine dining restaurant. It is in that that I started my my education in the following:
