Men’s Rowing

Central Catholic Crew

- A member of the Rowing Team at Central for all of my High School career

- Awarded a varsity letter during my Sophomore year in recognition of my dedication to the program

- Appointed by the Head Coach to be in Charge of Cleaning our local community

- I was a part of my school's first ever all freshman team to qualify for the U.S. Junior Rowing National Championships where we raced against teams 1-3 years older than us

- Member of the Freshman, Junior Varsity, and Varsity teams

-During my Junior and Sophomore year I was double rostered, and played for both Junior Varsity and Varsity

- I was captain of the JV team during my Junior year and lead the team to winning record

Executive Board

- A leader in Central Catholic High School's Campus Ministry

- Improved volunteer recruitment for ministry programs by creating targeted marketing materials and communication plans.

- Lead younger and unfamiliar students through their first volunteering experiences

- Lead younger students on retreats and wrote speeches for their benefit

- Required to accumulate 10 hours of service work per quarter and 40 hours during summer break

The Best Friend Program

The Children’s Institute

- During my Junior year I was approached by the Head of Campus Ministry and asked to participate in a program where I am paired with a student who has a learning disability

- I lead him through class work, activities and sports

-I help him to learn how to be a student by setting a good example


Volunteering

The Red Door

- A regular Volunteer at a Catholic Homeless Shelter named the Red Door located in the centre of downtown Pittsburgh

-I am Responsible for making, arranging, and distributing food, beverages, and clothes to my local homeless community

- I instruct newer volunteers on how to correctly serve the homeless

- During the summer before my Junior year I accumulated approximately 45 hours of service at the Red Door

Volunteering

PA Lutheran Centre For The Blind

- Attended and helped facilitate the monthly dinners hosted by the PA Lutheran centre for the blind

- Waited on the blind members of the church and helped to serve their food

Brother Andre’s Cafe

-As part of being a leader in my school's campus ministry I led my classmates in volunteer work to a cafe run with the help of people with Intellectual Disabilities

- Lead both my classmates and the members in work, prayer, and games

Service Work

Hazelwood River Clean-Up

- Removed logs, plastic and other trash from river and local community surrounding Central Catholic's rowing team's boathouse

- Appointed by the Head Coach of the rowing as the officer in charge of the cleaning process

-Led members of the team to meet twice per week for three hours to remove trash and logs

-The whole process took around 2 months

Viking Ambassador

Ambassador

- I have been a member of the Viking Ambassador Program for my Sophomore and Junior year

- I am responsible for touring prospective eighth graders and their families around Central Catholic High School

- During my Junior year a religion teacher approached me and asked me to be a founder of a Men's Prayer Group at Central Catholic High School

- I conduct prayer before School with other members and anyone who wants to grow stronger in the Catholic Faith

- I lead after school meetings and discussion groups in this club

Central Catholic Pickle Ball Club

Co-Founder And Chief Marketing Officer

- During my junior year I helped to create the Central Catholic Pickle Ball Club and went through the official school requirements for it to be established

- I organized and led events and club meetings in order to grow the club from 5 members to 30

- I Managed and created ways to gathers funds for meetings and events

Environmental Club

- Member of the Club during my Sophomore and Junior years

- Spread awareness about the importance of the environment to the student body at Central Catholic High School

-Enhanced club membership by implementing innovative and time relevant strategies and hosting engaging events.

- Developed comprehensive budget plans for the club, maintaining financial stability and growth.

- I led the club in both attracting new members and in producing new methods of gathering budget money
