Inspects, troubleshoots and performs organizational, intermediate and depot level electronic maintenance/modification on contract units, subsystems and other weapon system components and support equipment. Advises other team members and solves unusual electronics problems by analysis and tests on robotic systems. Acts as a Special Technical Advisor to his/her Supervisor. Position reports to Forward Repair Activity Lead or Main Repair Facility Lead.

Performs advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and supervision. Capable of managing projects, ensuring complex system integrity, and training others, often holding specialized certifications or advanced diplomas.

• Develop Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Train individuals (Master Trainers) to become experts who can then train their units in C-IED tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Provide Realistic Training: Use hands-on scenarios, simulations, and live exercises to teach soldiers how to recognize indicators, understand enemy tactics, and mitigate dangers.
• Teach Threat Awareness: Educate on homemade explosives (HME), precursor chemicals, suspicious purchasing behaviors, and how to identify potential attack methods.
• Incorporate Technology: Train on specialized detection equipment like Hand Held Detectors (HHDs) and Counter-Radio Electronic Warfare (CREW) systems, as well as emerging threats like small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS).
