Responsibilities

• Process and review all customer orders.
• Coordinate all information to the appropriate departments.

• Address issues regarding quality and production.
• Manage and update capacity (short/long term).
• Manage deadlines based on project expectations (SOP/EOP build out, transfer business etc.).
• New project implementation Kaizen, Cost Savings ETC.
• Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training including Customer required trainings.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.

• Analyzed production schedules to optimize workflow and resource allocation.

As a TPS Specialist,

I was responsible for leading Toyota Production System (TPS) activities, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives to support safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing operations. My role lead TPS Supervisors, Engineers, and Kaizen resources while driving operational excellence, new product launches, and future‑state process development.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

TPS Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC).
• Apply TPS principles to stabilize processes, reduce waste, and improve flow.
• Implement and sustain Kaizen and 2S1Y activities within assigned areas.

New Process & Launch Leadership

• Lead assembly process development from quotation through implementation.
• Support design and implementation of new production processes.
• Ensure new product quotations are completed accurately and on time.
• Develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes, technologies, and strategies.
• Direct Kaizen shop technicians during build and launch of new processes.

People Leadership & Management

• Plan, assign, and direct work for team members within scope of control..
• Motivate employees and assist in conflict resolution.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Ensure product quality meets internal and customer requirements.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Oversee daily shipment of finished wood products (Doors, Trim, components, etc.)
• Ensure loads are accurately picked, packed, labeled, and staged
• Coordinate with logistics providers, carriers, and dispatch for on-time deliveries
• Verify shipping documents (BOLs, invoices, packing lists)
• Ensure proper loading to prevent damage, warping, or moisture exposure
• Optimize load configurations for cost efficiency and freight compliance. First on last off etc.

• Supervise receipt of raw materials (lumber, veneers, adhesives, hardware plywood etc)
• Inspect incoming goods for: Quantity Accuracy ETC.
  Quality defects (cracks, moisture damage, warping)
  Compliance with purchase orders
  
• Ensure proper documentation and system entry.
• Coordinate unloading and safe storage of incoming inventory

• Maintain accurate inventory levels of: Raw wood materials
  Work-in-progress (WIP)
  Finished goods
  
• Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Monitor stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent degradation of wood materials

• Design and maintain efficient warehouse layout for: Lumber, Trim Plywood
  Finished goods staging areas for Inbound and OUtbound Freight.
• Implement labeling and bin location systems
• Maintain clean and organized work areas (5S principles)

• Supervise warehouse personnel, including: Forklift operators
  Shipping/receiving clerks
  Material handlers
• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity
• Train employees on: Safe handling of wood materials
  Equipment operation
  Company procedures
• Conduct performance evaluations and enforce policies

• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
• Promote safe handling of: Heavy lumber loads
• Ensure proper use of PPE (gloves, eye protection, steel toes)
• Conduct safety meetings and incident investigations
• Maintain compliance with environmental and fire safety regulations (important with wood dust and flammable materials)

• Oversee operation and maintenance of: All Forklifts
  Pallet jacks
  Loading docks
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance
• Ensure dock equipment and warehouse infrastructure are functioning properly

• Work closely with: Production supervisors
  Procurement teams
• Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules
• Prioritize shipments based on customer deadlines
• Manage flow of finished goods from production to shipping
