I am Senior Estimator for Carmel Contractors for hard bids and negotiated projects ranging from $500,000 to $15,000,000. This included procuring subcontractor bids and putting together a final cost estimate to present to the owner. I was assisted by other team members who were going to be the Project Manager for the project on most projects.
I have also been the project Manager for projects as well as working with owners during the planning stages of their project. But my main job at Carmel Contractors was to get work, which I have been very successful doing.
I am also the Safety Officer for Carmel Contractors responsible for keeping all Superintendents up to date on new safety regulations and assisting them with any safety questions they may have.
Began estimating and being a project manager out of college for Walker Construction Company.
I also layed out all buildings that I was the Project Manager on.
I began as a laborer working summers in 1979 and worked summers during high school. I Learned to be a carpenter while working summers and holidays when I was in college. During this time I also learned how to lay out buildings and shoot elevation grades.
I worked for Hickory Construction during the summer of 1978 as a laborer. This was my first year working and it was in construction.
I have 10 hour and 30 Hour OSHA training.
I grew up playing golf and that is my passion
I am also a "sports junky" and like to go to any sporting event especially NC State sports
My wife and I like to go to any National Park I like it because I take a lot of pictures and have gotten into photography in the last 10 years We also like hiking the trails at any park
