I come from a background in railroad TE&Y. The majority of my adult life has been in the railroad industry. Being a third generation railroader, it has become engrained into me as not only my profession but as a way of life. With almost 18 years in the industry, I've gained extensive knowledge and experience from a conductor role, to yard switchman/foremen roles.
I've spanned my 18 years across multiple states, working as a conductor. Taking advantage of an opportunity to borrow out to the southern region. Allowing me to experience different aspects of my career in other regions.
Through the years in this industry, I've performed countless air brake tests, car inspections (over the road and in rail yards), switch inspections, created and executed daily switching tasks, spotted and pulled countless industries, and countless other switchman/conductor role duties.
Throughout my career, I have maintained a professional working relationship with not only my day to day co-workers, but management as well. Along with maintaining a perfect safety record.
This industry is engrained into me, from being generational in this industry as well as it playing such a major role through basically my entire adult life. As anyone involved in the industry, we see it changing rapidly. Through ever evolving technology advancements, to the negotiations of crew sizes, I'd love to see these industry changes from within, rather than looking from the outside. With all this said, I'm ready to take the next step in my railroad career, lending a hand in the forever changing industry.
