I provided immediate treatment and arranged for transportation as needed. At the end of the day, we meticulously rode each trail to ensure that no one was left on the trails or lost.

Banning mills is the Largest Zipline course in the world giving clients the option for 16 hours on the course. As a lead my pack was essential weighing 50+lbs and carrying a 3-1 grigri system for emergency lowers, extra pulleys and rope for midline rescues (ziplines up to 3000+ ft), first aid, water, and a couple of useful hand tools. My equipment and supplies were used daily, so inventory, resupply, and inspection were crucial at the end of each tour. Problem solving was paramount. I was among the initial individuals on scene for rescues, wilderness first aid responses, or any other issue that would arise. The safety of the other guides and clients was always the #1 priority. Being able to quickly adjust to varying conditions, situation, and paying attention to dynamic details were pertinent skills. As a lead it was my responsibility to assess and manage the risk factors the course presented such as limited resources, heat, physical demand/requirements, elevation, and the mental status of the clients.

The diverse requirements of this job meant that working as a team and being adaptable was the only way to accomplish the end goal.

I strived to give our clients an opportunity to hunt a deer of a lifetime. Each hunt was carefully planned during our morning meeting through assessing the daily varying factors listed: winds speed/direction, temperature, food/water sources, daily animal routine, and time of day. I would ensure all of the client's needs were met through extensive scouting, tracking, planning, property management, planting food plots/managing crops, cutting down trees, and clearing shooting lanes.

The resort was around 5000 acres of forest and fields making map reading a required skill. I would guide people through various activities such as fly fishing, white tail deer hunting, Quail and pheasant hunting, Archery, ATV tours, and instruct shooting lessons. Other responsibilities included property management, prescribed burns, bush hogging (tractor with a big mower on the back), feeding and training the hunting dogs, laying seed/preparing food plots for upcoming hunting seasons, and scouting for our clients. This was all done with the purpose to achieve the client's goals while providing a safe enjoyable experience.
