Equine Kinesiology was a life saver for my mare before her kissing spine surgery. I was even capable of using it to aid in diagnosing her with kissing spine. It helped with pain management before and post op, along side aided in her healing. I used taping on ringbone and navicular horses, other kissing spine and even to aid in the healing of my dads leg post op after he broke it.
PEMF is a very excellent form of therapy. It is one all my horses have enjoyed and aided in the recovery of my Kissing Spine mare, navicular cases, ringbone horses and so much more.
Massage has been a proven form of therapy for many species, horses are no exception. Massage therapy has so many benefits. Muscle tension, soreness, and spasms. Along with benefiting flexibility, range of motion, posture. I have also used it to aid in healing of injuries while rehabilitating equine.
Red light therapy is one of the best and easiest therapies in my opinion. It it something I have angled at a certain spot while a horse eats and successfully did treatments. It aids in injury recovery, pain relief, tissue repair and etc. It healed my mares incision site quickly with minimal scarring and aided in the prevention of bumpy, uncomfortable scar tissue forming. It has also aided in pain relief for ringbone, navicular, kissing spine (pre surgery), and much more.
After learning about kissing spine and possible causes for it, I began to get my horses worked on more regularly. My dad is also a chiropractor and taught me a lot. I have seen chiropractics along with kinesiology taping make a world of difference on performance horses.
The saying 'no foot, no horse' is something I have always believed in. Having a Performance and Correction Farrier as a dad made me realize just how important hoof care is and how to fix and take care of problems, sometimes even performing miracles on some feet.
The Equine lungs have always been something I have prioritized. My High school rodeo horse was thought to be a bleeder until I finally got the diagnosis that he had asmatha and COPD. The Equi-Resp machine was exactly what I knew I needed and it has always worked its magic. Equi-silver and albuterol were always my personal favorites.
