Served with the 523 Transportation Detachment (MC) as the Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB), Saudi Arabia Movement Control Team (MCT) Manager tasked with utilizing a 8 man team working with military and contracted assets to expedite, coordinate, and supervise transportation support of units, cargo, and personnel into, through, and out of air, land, or water ports within Saudi Arabia. 523 PSAB MCT was responsible for validating transportation requirements and coordinates transportation support, highway clearance, cargo and personnel movements, diversions, for over 600 missions as it provides technical expertise to transportation users and provides in-transit visibility of unit equipment and sustainment cargo.
Served as the 419th Movment Control Battalion Plans, Programs, and Operations (PP&O) Manager - Kuwait for the CENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR), leading a team of 5 Soldiers responsible for managing a contracted fleet of 165-230 trucks tasked with facilitating ground line of communications (GLOC) throughout Kuwait. Additionally responsible for managing and coordinating the execution transload operations at Khabari Border Crossing, Kuwait/Iraq border. While deployed the Plans, Programs, and Operations - Kuwait team coordinated and facilitated the movement of over 10,000 intra-Kuwait ground movements utilizing both contracted and military transportation assets in order to provide theatre support operations and on time logistics for military units and contractors within Kuwait.
Responsible for managing safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises and efficiency of approximately 250-450 associates in a “Middle Mile” sortation center. Additional tasks involve supporting, developing, mentoring, and motivating the workforce; as well as collaborating with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
Served as the Highway Traffic-Air-Bus Manager for the CENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR), leading a team of 10 Soldiers responsible for managing a $3 million task order with a fleet of 65 buses and 23 baggage trucks, operated by 114 drivers tasked with facilitating personnel distribution throughout Kuwait. Additionally responsible for processing out of country air packets used to coordinate international travel throughout the Arabian peninsula; and acting as a liaison for the Kuwait Ministry of Interior to coordinate police escorts for cargo and personnel movement throughout Kuwait. While deployed the Highway Traffic Division-Air-Bus team facilitated the movement of over 160,000 Soldiers via ground transportation, over 150 personnel via air travel, and successfully coordinated over 2,000 police escorts for personnel and cargo movement.
Responsible for directing and engaging operations employees in DSC’s Logistics Center to achieve productivity goals. Managing a shift of 30+ direct reports, spending significant time coaching, and leading an operations team to efficiently and safely achieve production and quality goals. Collaborating with various DSC teams on implementing continuous improvement initiatives and leading practices.
Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent, the Trainmaster is responsible for delivering efficient movement of traffic within the road territory and terminal by developing, organizing, and executing the daily yard- terminal/road operating plan in a safe and cost-effective manner which maximizes fluidity and achieves Local Service Operating Plan (LSOP) and Operating Plan (OP) compliance on a daily basis. This includes all processes related to arrival, classification, building, inspecting and dispatching of trains. Also responsible for providing leadership, accountability for inputs and outputs of safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics. Served as a Movement Control Officer in the 470th Movement Control Battalion’s Highway Operations Section. Primary tasks include route planning, commodity distribution planning, cargo documentation, the processing of road clearances to ensure minimal congestion throughout the supply chain, and maintain live in-transit visibility of all cargo within the operational area. Responsible for the readiness, training professional development of a 12 soldier team ensuring they can proficiently perform their assigned individual and collective tasks. On order, deploy the battalion to perform in-transit visibility and transportation operations in support of the unit’s wartime mission.
Served as an Executive Officer over 17 Drill Sergeants. Responsibilities include improving and maintaining unit training and medical readiness in order to support the United States Army’s mission to train Initial Entry Trainee (IET) soldiers in Basic Training and recruiting junior soldiers and Non-Commissioned Officers who are interested in becoming Drill Sergeants.
Served as a Terminal Operations Officer. Primary responsibilities include supervising cargo documentation teams, vessel load and stowage planning,and managing the inventory of container and trailer receiving and storage points within the ports. Responsible for the readiness and training of 92 soldiers ensuring trained and ready for unit deployment and that soldiers can perform and are validated in their assigned individual and collective tasks. On order, deploy the transportation operations in support of the unit wartime mission. Provide the Company Commander with accurate and timely information on the unit's overall readiness posture.
Operations Officer/Executive Officer, 206th Transportation Medium Truck Company. Responsible for the health, welfare, readiness, and training of 195 Soldiers team. Primarily responsible for planning and supervising the efficient execution of load planning, convoy distribution operations, maintaining proper cargo documentation of all loads, and supervising the safe and efficient operation of trailer transfer point yards. On order, deploy the company to perform transportation operations in support of the unit wartime mission.
Supervise train crews on a freight train and coordinate switch engine crews. Strategically place cars to facilitate loading and unloading and the makeup and breakdown on trains in a rail yard, industrial plant, or similar location.
Serves as a Platoon Leader with the 231st Transportation Company. Primarily responsible for planning and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of Container Receiving and Storage Points, training soldiers on the loading and unloading of various equipment from various multimodal platforms, maintaining accurate cargo documentation, and creating distribution plans for inbound and outbound pieces of equipment and commodities. Additionally responsible for leading a platoon of 60 Army Reserve soldiers and planning, organizing, and evaluating unit training to ensure the soldiers are ready to perform their assigned mission essential tasks.
