With Midway Staffing/Hungry Root, I started as a temp associate and waited about three and a half months to be hired on full-time. My Responsibilities are to come in and attend the group meetings to go over our daily quota. Once we know how many boxes we need to fill that day, I go to my station where I pack. This entails reading the iPad on each itemized order and filling the customer's box with the required groceries and ice packs if necessary. Next, it's my task to put them out onto the conveyor line and repeat the process for the next box order. Ocassionally i'll work in the quality auditing department (QA) where I check whether any boxes are weighing lighter than they need to be and identify what is missing from them. Once that's done, I put them back on the conveyor belt where they go to be sorted by which shipping carrier they will go to, i.e., FedEx, Jujitsu, etc.
At AMS, my tasks were to come into the office, go over the moving jobs for the day, and determine which drivers we would be with. Then we assisted our drivers in loading the truck with the necessary amount of equipment and would head to the customer's house. Depending on the services they requested, we would either pack up, wrap, and load their belongings onto the truck or bring everything out and load it up. Once getting to the customer's new location, we would unload their belongings and unwrap anything that needed to be, Then close out the day by going back to the AMS warehouse, cleaning out the truck, and ensuring everything was in place for the next day.
At Eryd, my daily tasks were to greet incoming customers and see what piece of equipment they were interested in renting for the day. Once decided on either a scooter or a bike, I would give them a detailed rundown on how to safely and properly ride. I was also tasked with doing daily inspections on all of the equipment we owned. At the start and end of each day, I had to ensure that each charger and adapter wasn't loose or possibly overheating, charge equipment, look for any loose wires or cables on the equipment itself, check for low tire pressure, and look for any other possible defects that could jeopardize the safety of our customers. Another task that my role in this position entailed was loading scooters and bikes onto the company's work van and driving them to our other location, then I would do inventory counts and repeat the process of checking and inspecting equipment at the next location.
