Safely operate lathes, mills, bandsaws, grinders and presses to accurately and efficiently repair or manufacture parts with or without prints under minimal supervision. Accurately measure materials and parts with micrometers, digital calipers, pi tapes, tape measure, ect. Determine appropriate processes and equipment to complete jobs as necessary. Make prints of new or old parts with or without retrofitted design with various steels including stainless steel and tool steels, various types of bronze, aluminum, cast iron and bronze overlayed steel. Heat treat tool steels to achieve proper hardness.

Use MIG, TIG, SMAW, Carbon air arc gouging, OxyAcetylene cutting, Plasma cutting, Oxylance cutting and pin blowing on various parts or equipment made of various steels including carbon steels, stainless steels and tool steels, various types of bronze, various grades of aluminum, cast iron and bronze overlaying steel to Repair/ replace or manufacture various heavy equipment components. Work in shop or in the field with mobile equipment including mobile lineboring machinery. As lead welder I was also in charge of teaching and guiding other welders of various age and skill level, troubleshooting them and various machines. Order necessary equipment and consumables from suppliers for inventory and or the occasional strange situation type job.

Safely Operate Mig welders, band saws, sandblasters, hydraulic metal breaks, shears and punches to manufacture various steel components for heavy duty solar panel mounts. Operate forklifts and telehandlers to move materials and parts through the shop and yard.

Safely and efficient diagnose and repair vehicles. I got to work on a lot of different cars and trucks from regular service and faulty trailer plug wiring to complete engine and transmission swaps.
