My duties in theUS Army Reserve & Wyoming National Guard varied depending on mission requirements, but they fell into two main categories, Upper and Lower TI (Tactical Internet).

While working on Lower TI equipment, I primarily;

• Configured and operated military radios
• Set up antenna masts to communicate or retransmit data
• Ran Ethernet and Fiber cabling to different pieces of equipment

While working on Upper TI equipment, I primarily;

• Configured switches and routers to communicated on a LAN
• Configured and troubleshooted tactical laptops for users
• Connected satellite equipment to local networks to provide connectivity to the Armies internet
• Configured Virtual Machines and software to provide secure communication between the Army internet and LANs

• Supported 20 Office users and 80+ warehouse workers.
• Provided tier one helpdesk support, including end-user support and troubleshooting basic desktop issues.
• Managed user Active Directory accounts.
• Configured, monitored, and managed the organization's infrastructure.
• Managed user permissions and troubleshot complex issues.
• Installed and troubleshot cameras across the warehouse.
• Created and implemented group policies at the organizational level.
• Documented changes to the network and organization.
• Repaired mobile devices.
• Managed Office 365 functions, including SharePoint and Teams, through the admin center.
• Created a scalable and manageable Active Directory structure.
• Implemented over 75 group policies to automate user setup and ensure security on the domain.
• Created a file server for organizational use.
• Successfully migrated outdated software from XP machines to Windows 10 VMs.
• Self-managed duties and prioritized tasks with minimal direct management.

• Researched technical literature, communicated with end users or performed computer diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Proficient in PowerShell scripting, managing group policy objects, and overseeing onsite Virtual Machines.
• Designed an efficient script that automates the onboarding of new users upon their initial computer login, eliminating the need for human involvement.
• Collaborated with IT teams to develop solutions for complex technical issues.
• Provided guidance on the selection of hardware components based on company requirements.
• Designed and deployed an efficient tiered help desk solution for the IT Department.
• Created user accounts, managed passwords, configured access rights, and provided training when necessary.
