Jordan Pearson

Hello! My name is Jordan Pearson, I live in Del Mar, I'm 18 years old and I'm in my first year of college. I got my CNA license at San Diego Medical College over the summer and I passed both the written and skills tests! I am eager to work in the medical field as I am studying it in college! Some of my work background includes working in customer service since I was 14 years old. I had my first job in my freshman year at an ice cream shop in Pacific Beach. I worked my sophomore, junior, and senior years at Chick-fil-A in Sorento Valley. This job taught me so much about customer service, how to problem solve, and most importantly gave me the skill of de-escalation when it comes to tense situations. Having this foundation made me the leader I am today. Enough about my work background, here are a few things that I've accomplished throughout my high school career! I've been a dual-sport varsity athlete since my freshman year of high school doing Track and Field (specifically Pole Vault) and Horse Polo. I was awarded most improved field athlete in my sophomore year along with the Coaches Award in my senior year. I got the honor of being named a captain of our track team with over 300 kids (by far the biggest team in our league). In polo, I've won MVP in the Pacific Coast Arena League along with countless sportsmanship and Horsemanship awards through my time playing Polo at Lakeside Polo Club. Last year, our girl's team came in second at Regionals, and our open team came in second at Nationals. I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to not only continue my athletic career but also my academic career in college. I'm currently running track for my university and I've taken a leadership role in my first year on the team. I'm a very sociable person, I love being around people. My time in CNA clinical taught me a lot about the medical field. It emphasized the importance of advocating for yourself and your patients in the healthcare setting.
