To help teach and prepare upcoming middle scholars to their academic year.
As a sophomore at Tougaloo College, I have consistently achieved academic excellence, earning a place on the Provost's List with a commendable 3.3 GPA. Alongside my academic achievements, I am an active member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Additionally, I am engaged in the Strada Leadership Program and the Jackson Heart Study, demonstrating my commitment to personal growth and community involvement. My true passion lies in the field of dermatology, with a specific focus on alopecia and skincare for African Americans. Hair is not merely hair to me; it represents an integral part of my story, heritage, and identity. To pursue my aspirations, I am determined to study at Howard University and participate in the NIH Oxford Scholars Program to earn a PhD. By doing so, I aim to make a substantial impact in my chosen field. Inspired by my family's legacy in medicine, I am driven to follow in their footsteps while forging my own unique path. Ultimately, my goal is to empower individuals by helping them feel confident in their own skin and embrace the beauty of who they truly are.
