As a worker for the STAR Afterschool Program, I am responsible with collaborating with my other coworkers and our program supervisor to ensure that every child in our program is engaged with the various planned activities we have. While, ensuring the children are being safe, responsible, and on their best behavior.

Tasks & my responsibilities include:

• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for the children and other people.
• Closely monitoring the children, ensuring they're being responsible and safe.
• Communicating with my coworkers and supervisor about possible risk factors, incidents, situations, and more.
• Collaborating with other coworkers on projects and planned activities.
• Communicating with parent and guardians about their child.

As a camp counselor for Island Rec's annual summer camp, I took on the responsibility of collaborating and working along side other camp counselors and our camp director to ensure we worked together to create a never-ending fun experience for nearly 70 total kids.

As a camp counselor, my tasks and responsibilities included:

• Worked with children of varying age, interest, skill, and developmental levels.
• Ensured camper safety by enforcing camp rules, supervising group activities, and responding promptly to incidents or concerns.
• Led groups of children safely through variety of camp activities.
• Acted as a positive role model, demonstrating strong leadership skills and exemplifying the camp''s core values.
