Special Reach is a non-profit organization that hosts fun events for children and young adults with special needs. Their personal mission is to ensure that young special needs individuals find a joyful and fun escape from the hardships they have faced through exciting events with multiple activities. My experience throughout high school as a special ed tutor led me here to be involved as a volunteer. My responsibilities are to look after the special needs child or young adult assigned to me, and engage with them so they may have a fun and memorable time participating in these events. My knowledge in helping special needs individuals has improved my abilities to be a better leader, understand the potential of others, communicate, listen, and ensure the safety of those that need more assistance and care.
As a cashier and courtesy clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market on Bulverde Road and Evans, my job was to complete customer transactions, bag groceries, keep the front end of the store presentable, collect trash, and collect shopping carts left by customers. Furthermore, my greatest service to the store has been my customer assistance. Reading from the Sprouts customer online surveys and taking direct compliments from them, my managers have acknowledged me as our top customer service employee, which has awarded me multiple raises and awards.
