  • I consider myself to be a well-rounded Border Patrol Agent. I am self-motivated and take all my duties and responsibilities seriously. As an Agent I strive to perform the best I can in every aspect, whether in the field or in any other responsibilities at the station.   • Assigned to RGV Sector Firearms Department
  • Administering quarterly Firearms training and qualifications with all firearms weapon systems to RGC sector staff as well as Asset forfeiture personnel.
  • Instruct and administer advance firearms training exercises (cover and concealment, shooting while moving, etc.) to sector personnel, as well as inform and give directions to RGV sector stations as needed.
  • Administrative application of firearms performance scores as well as the issuance of materials and supplies needed by all RGV stations.
  • Direct and manage all logistical needs for the issuance of new equipment for the RGV sector stations, to include the arrangements needed to discard all damaged or expired equipment.
  • Assist with the purchasing and ordering of equipment and supplies for the RGV sector to disseminate appropriately to stations.
  • Maintain up to date logs of ammunition, supplies, and yearly budget for monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting.
  • Create and log training on all necessary programs. (FACTS, ACADIS...)
  • Job Related Skills:
  • Participated and assisted in the apprehension and seizure of numerous alien and narcotics smuggling cases which resulted in prosecution of the principals involved.
  • Well versed and highly knowledgeable with agency service forms and processing of all documents.
  • Operated an All-terrain vehicle (ATV) for the McAllen Border Patrol ATV Unit.
  • Served as the McAllen station’s Firearms Instructor and administer quarterly qualifications to over 600 Border Patrol Agents and training on the use of force policy.
  • Developed advance training exercises and administered during the quarterly training.
  • Certified Active Shooter Instructor conducting advance scenario trainings and exercises.
  • Certified Firearms Armor repairing all border patrol approved firearms.
  • Establish schedules in BPETS for small teams when on special operations.
  • Well versed with Incident Command Systems (ICS) through training with EMP, NREMT and ALERRT.
