I obtained certification as a Registered Behavior Technician recently, and although I have not had paid experience, I can say that, as a father of a child diagnosed with autism, I have been motivated to study everything about this field. I have worked as a team for two years with my son’s therapist and learned about behavioral intervention, crisis management, and how to observe with special attention to the real needs of the child and what their motivations are in order to create an appropriate environment for the development of therapy sessions.
