Starting at the Cleveland County Detention Center in 2024 I was able to maintain being a K-9 handler as I worked my way up from K-9 Deputy, to Master Sergeant, to Lieutenant, and to Captain over Detention. I oversaw the daily operations within the Detention Center and prior to being captain, as a Master Sergeant and Lieutenant I oversaw the daily functions of a shift and made sure that all tasks and procedures were completed.
I also attended classes to learn how to be a successful leader so that I could lead my shift properly and efficiently.
