Joseph Jones

I am currently employed as a criminal investigator with the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office in Manning, SC. My current job duties are to investigate criminal cases reported here in Clarendon County SC. These primarily are violent crime but also include property crime, financial crime and sex crimes. My duties also include obtaining criminal arrest warrants, obtaining search warrants for residences and cellular devices. Prior to being assigned to investigations I was a shift sergeant assigned to Team 3 where I supervised four other deputies.

I worked as a patrol officer at the Sumter Police Department where I responded to calls for service. These included larceny’s, burglaries, shootings, homicides, domestics, and traffic collisions. I also enforced state and local laws through calls for service or self initiated calls like traffic stops. I was promoted to the rank of Lead Corporal in 2015 and served as a patrol supervisor on shift.

Responded to emergency calls for service to include structure fires, vehicle fires, vehicle collisions, and medical calls assisting EMS. Also responded to Hazardous Material situations and was a Hazmat Technician.
