I'm an ambitious person that knows a little bit about a lot of things. For example, I have experience in construction , maintaining a ranch, as well as engineering practice and many things in between. As I have grown up, I have learned many skills that help me succeed. These include leadership skills, organization skills, teamwork, and creativity. I am a very reliable person that can follow instructions, but if need be, can give instruction.
My duties required me to get done with whatever needed to get done on the ranch. This included fixing fence, feeding cows, doctoring cows, building pins, shredding the pasture or anything else that was needed of me. I would also mow the lawn, clean out gutters, and prune trees whenever I was asked to do so.
My duties on a daily bases included drywall work, painting, electrical, plumbing, and sometimes framework. Over the course of this job I learned how to build a to do list and manage my time and money based on our daily work. By the end of the summer, I had gained the trust of my supervisors and was put in a position to estimate/manage house projects on my own.
My duties required me to organize my supervisors shop and property. This was a physical labor job where I sorted metal, decided what to trash, and basically just cleaned up the place. This job required me to have organizational skills, self-discipline, and a had to know how to operate heavy equipment.
Renovation of architectural and structural features of the office complex. This included, but was not limited too, framework, duct work, electrical work, painting, texture, etc. I was also a worker for his sheep breeding program. Part of my pay comes from drenching, worming, giving shots, tagging, and overall just doctoring the sheep.
My main focus as an Agriculture Engineering Intern was to learn everything that I possibly could. After many hours of trainings and shadowing engineers, I was able to complete, surveys, designs, and checkouts on my own. Some of my duties during this internship included:
