As a corps member for the AmeriCorps program Jumpstart I worked as a teaching aid in a preschool in a underserved area of Columbia Missouri. I helped run in class activities and an after school reading and writing program focused on getting children prepared to enter kindergarten at an appropriate reading level. I created lesson plans and designed activities for kids to both keep them engaged and encourage them to expand their reading and active learning skills. Through the program I also to classes and training to learn about positive teaching strategies and best classroom practices.
As a day camp counselor for the YMCA I oversaw 20-30, 5-8 year olds daily, throughout 2 summers. I created activities and games to keep the kids entertained and safe. I chaperoned the campers on field trips and helped the kids learn and grow throughout the summer.
In my 7 plus years at High Noon Entertainment I have held numerous roles in development and post-production. I've been a crucial part of the High Noon team as a creative editor and producer. As an editor for development I wrote, produced and edited sizzle reels and paid development for major streamers and cable networks. I have been an assistant editor on multiple shows for HGTV including Unsellable Houses and Restored by the Fords. My other duties have included research, writing, graphic design, outreach and mentoring other team members.
