Accomplishments

  • 4A State Champion: Dedicated my life to basketball since the age of five with late night practices, early games, and playing on two teams as I played for my school and club team. I learned to work hard and my hard work was shown when I led my team to the 4A State Championship in 2023, we were not favored to win as the 17th seed, yet we worked hard and became the 4A State Champions.
  • H.O.B.Y Leadership Award: Awarded to two juniors who show true leadership, respect, and professionalism. The two juniors then participated in a week-long camp representing their school focusing on concerning issues.
  • The Outstanding Leadership by example of Faith Catholic Spirit Award: awarded to two seniors who have led their class as leaders in the classroom and also by being leaders in the church. The award is based on the four years which the student has been at the school and voted on by all teachers.
  • Basketball First Team All Conference 2023 and 2024: All conference players are voted as the top players in the 4A division, and are picked due to their productivity and leadership on the court.

Volunteer Work

  • Christ in the City: Volunteered for Christ of the City program which goes to the downtown Denver area to assist underprivileged people by handing out free meals, basic hygiene products and clothing.
  • South Pearl Street Market: During COVID-19 I volunteered at the South Pearl Street Market which was converted into a drive through market. Assisted by packaging orders and loading the orders into the cars of the customers. The numerous customers were mainly elderly and it provided them with a sanitary and safe way to receive their groceries without exposing themselves to possible exposure of COVID-19.
  • Youth Basketball Camps: Volunteered for the Holy Family High School basketball camps which would take place during the summer for two weeks. It was a time for me to give back to the community by mentoring kids from fourth grade through eighth grade. It was a great time to teach the kids not only about the fundamentals of basketball but the leadership which is learned on the court.
  • Marisol Health: Volunteered for the Marisol Health Foundation which assists pregnant women throughout their pregnancies. Assisted the foundation by starting a diaper donation at my school. All diapers received through the donation were delivered to the foundation which helps relieve some financial burden with comes motherhood.
