- 25+ years experience as a telecommunications/datacenter technician/cable installer/network technician
- Strong cable management skills and experience running copper and fiber in a data center
- Extensive experience in the overall rack, stack, power, and cabling of equipment within the Data Center
- Installation, termination, testing and labeling of cat5, cat5e, cat6e, RJ45 heads, coax, patch panels, jacks etc
- Linux Operating System experience
- Provide quality break/fix support
- Strong knowledge of commonly used single and multimode optics
- Experience with fault isolating and troubleshooting networks including LAN and WAN
- Knowledge of common network protocols such as TCP/IP
- Hands on experience working with network hardware such as multiplexers, routers, switches, patch panels and media converters
- Ability to handle expedient resolutions of all emergency escalations and urgent customer service requests
