Im a versatile professional with extensive experience in special education and camp settings. I have been recognized for strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, contributing to the development of personalized learning experiences and supporting diverse student needs. I pride myself on my flexibility and my ability to adapt to whatever situations arise.
-In my early years working at Innabah I primarily worked as a lifeguard and as a kitchen assistant. I have moved away from being a lifeguard in favor of being a counselor but I still sometimes work in the kitchen for weekend retreats during the winter months.
- Camp Innabah features many different camps for adults with intellectual disabilities of ranging abilities. At Innabah we refer to these camps collectively as "Challenge Camp". I began working as a Camp Counselor for these camps in the summer of 2008. In this role I supervised daily camp activities and lead different games and activities from the time we wake up in the morning until bedtime. I assist my campers who are assigned to my cabin with whatever tasks they may need support with throughout the day. As a Camp Counselor im expected to facilitate a fun and safe environment for our campers.
- For the past three summers I have also taken on the role of "Program Director" for a week of Challenge Camp. In this role I make my camps schedule for the week, I am in charge of all the counselors working with my camp and I am ultimately responsible for all the Campers within my camp, not just the campers within my cabin.
- From the years 2013 to 2022 I was not officially on Camp Innabah's staff but I volunteered as a counselor at least one week per summer during those years. I rejoined Camp Innabahs staff the summer of 2023 and have worked summers there since.
