Accomplishments

01/2023 - Present

Drone Delivery Team - Core Navigation Lead

  • Collaborated with team to develop software for a drone that can pick up and deliver packages autonomously
  • Utilized C++ to develop key portions of the D* and A* Path Planning Algorithms, like the priority queue
  • Researched and implemented Visual and Inertial SLAM algorithm using RTABMAP, PX4, Gazebo, and ROSsoftware

10/2022 - Present

Boiler Robotics/Mars Rover Club - Electronics Lead

  • Designed, developed, and integrated the PCB power distribution board for the robotic arm of the rover using the schematic and PCB editor tools in KiCad
  • PCB took 5V and 12V power inputs and distributed them to the Roboclaw and ODrive motor controllers and the Raspberry Pi that controls the robotic arm, as well as handling input and output signals from the Pi
  • Utilized ROS2, Moveit2, and RViz to control the operations of the arm with an Xbox Controller

08/2023 - Present

FEMTA Micro Thruster Research Project

  • Worked on the Avionics team of a research project to create a suborbital experiment to test the propellant management and thrust tests of a FEMTA micro thruster
  • Creating embedded code for the Arduino that controls the experiments and code to interact with it and parse the data it collects from the experiment

05/2021 - 12/2022

Created Mobile and Desktop Apps

  • Designed and Published the iOS app Physics Backpack initially using Python and then created the finished product with Swift
  • Utilized Python to create a MacOS hybrid study app incorporating aspects of the arcade game Space Invaders
