The Infantry Marine Course (IMC) is the current, 14-week entry-level training program for new infantry Marines at the School of Infantry (SOI) in Camp Lejeune, NC, and Camp Pendleton, CA. It replaced the previous 59-day Basic Infantry Marine (BIM) Course as part of the Marine Corps' Force Design 2030 strategy, aiming to develop more adaptable, technically proficient, and lethal riflemen for future conflicts by focusing on critical thinking, complex weapons systems, signature management, and a broader range of infantry skills.
