Special Education Para

  • I work with nine students throughout the day. Some of the students come on a bus in the morning and again in the afternoon. I meet them as they get off in the morning and take them inside to get breakfast and then go to homeroom. After school I take them back to the bus. During the day I work with the students to complete their schoolwork. It varies day by day which students I work with depending on where they decide to sit when they come in or if one of the other paras is sick. In addition, I help the students that play sports for the school when they have games once a week. The main sports are bowling and basketball. I help the kids to know when they are to enter the game or it is their turn to bowl. If they require someone beside them to know where to go during the game, I will walk beside them and help as needed.
