Joshua Nixon

Started at Nixon's Oak Treehouse working with furniture. Rebuilding, repairing refinishing furniture. This could be anything from a chair or table to an armoire or piano.

I spent several years working two jobs. By day I worked at Nixon's Oak Treehouse and at night I worked at Pizza Hut delivering pizzas.

I was making good money with tips and I enjoyed working nights. After doing this job for seven years I eventually became a night owl.

I decided to move up to a higher paying more professional job and I acquired my CDL from C.R. England in 2014.

From there I eventually became a trainer and ended up training students in truck driving.

I got burned out doing trucking pretty badly and jumped from company to company testing the waters and trying the job in many different forms including dedicated routes, dry van and reefer, solo and team.

From 2020 I quit working with US Xpress because I was pretty burned out at that time and the covid-19 debacle had gone into full swing. I spent a few years taking care of myself eating right and exercising. I was able to help my grandparents who suffered some medical issues during this time.

From May of 2023 to January of 2024 I worked for a repo company as a spotter, or camera car driver. I was spotting over 150 cars a month and of that number over 100 were being recovered by the repossession agents.
