My professional journey has been quite diverse, starting with roles in call centers and eventually as a retail manager. However, my true passion lies in the human services field. I've always been driven to share my personal experience of overcoming mental illness and addiction to inspire and support others on their own paths to recovery.
After pursuing education in the human services field, I had the opportunity to work briefly as a Ward Clerk, where I felt I was making meaningful strides in my career. Unfortunately, sudden medical issues arose, forcing me to step down and put my career on hold.
Now, as I focus on healing, I am eager to return to the workforce and continue pursuing my passion. My ultimate goal is to become a counselor specializing in mental health crisis intervention and addiction support. I am determined to use my experiences to help others navigate their own challenges and find hope and healing along the way.

Due to financial constraints, I chose to enter into community college after high school. While working 35 hours/week and attending community college, I was able to secure a full ride scholarship to Cornell University. I not only find great pride in this, but wish to showcase it to those who may also feel universities or ivy league schools are beyond reach due to socioeconomic status.
