Joy Rowan

I majored in Early Childhood Education at Auburn and have entered into my sixth year of teaching this year. I am passionate about teaching and I am excited to continue to grow and learn. My philosophy of teaching revolves around relationships and caring for your students. I think a classroom is a place where you set high expectations but feel the freedom to make mistakes. I think it is crucial to understand the content for the grade you are teaching as well as to collaborate and participate with the educators around you. Lastly, I believe forming relationships with students and meeting each student where they are will help them grow and learn to their fullest potential.
