Report changes in patient's status to RN team leader. Duties were working closely with pediatricians to administer medication and provide routine medical care to children and infants. Some typical duties include starting IV's and fluids, ABT, gastric washings, trach care and suction, burn care,feeding RSV specimens, mist tent /respiratory tx, inserting catheters, taking a patient's blood pressure and taking blood samples. Also assist families with the psychological impact of having a child diagnosed with a disease or illness provide emotional support. The pediatric patients range from 0-18 years of age.
