All the responsibilities of being a Framer were still there with the added responsibility of the entire department. Managing a small team of framers ensuring they were all meeting expected task in a timely manner. Documenting all operations of the Frame Shop and reporting to upper management with any progress and/or concerns.

As the Assistant store manager, I oversaw the communication of the wants and need of lower management and the wants and needs of upper management. Documenting and evaluating the performance of all the other managers. Providing the entire teams with the tools needed for them to achieve their task to the best of their availabilities.

Managing a team of anywhere from 10 to 20 employees. Assuring all scheduled tasks, such as seasonal product changes, were met in a timely manner. In charge of scheduling team so that all tasks could be done as efficiently as possible. Assisting New team members with their training and proper protocol. In charge of organizing safety and procedure meeting with all staff under me.

Responsible for assisting customers with designing a frame that would fit their art, diploma, photograph or memorabilia. Assembling frame and making sure the artwork was placed in with the most care and effectiveness, ensuring the art was safe and protected for years. Ensuring my performance was up to part with was expected of me by doing self-evaluations. As a team member in Michael’s, I was also tasked with helping other departments when it was needed this also applied to other stores around the district.
