Accomplishments

I did books for our building of six plex and tri plex in Fairbanks. I also hired workers, did ordering and getting materials for our building. I substituted teaching in Lenpah OK for K-12.

I worked for a dentist with my certificate of medical insurance billing. I helped my father get all VA benefits due to his PST and enjoy got Reagan to move him from AK to CA. I had the Govenor of AlaskJay Hammond declare an Operator Appreciation Day. I was. Teamster that assisted members in complaints . I helped my husbands lawyer do research on his case against the state of Alaska for not reinstating him in Anchorage and we won.

As I communications long distance telephone operator Fairbanks 10 yrs. Then Fairbanks closed and moved to Anchorage 22 years until retirement. teamster offered early retirement at age 45 they were downsizing . I loved my job as I felt I got to travel the world. I trained newbies on cord board in Fairbanks. I also was one of the first to go from our communication office to the Fairbanks Airpot during the. 1967. Flood.

Additional Information

  • Living in Alaska is a challenge.
  • My father was a career military retired after 22 years but disabled due to PTSD. There wasn’t much known about the disability during that time. He served in Japan during the u2 time and when Kennedy assain was stationed at Atsugi as a marine.
  • I have worked for AT&T as a 17 yr out of high school but was let go as the state of CA did not allow for anyone under age 18 to work a shift of 5p to 1am.
  • I worked temp for AT&T in Alaska after Pacific Telecom sold to the.
  • I worked as assistant to HR . she was formally Governor aide to one term in 1993 and knew absolutely nothing about communications in Alaska especially rural Alaska. She also harbored bias against native Alaskans.she attended the convention of Alaska Natives and made the comment all natives were lazy and ignorant. I was offended as I am Cherokee Indian and did not consider myself ignorant or lazy. I was let go , it was only temp as my son was tragically injured by a drunk driver and I was his care giver.
